Eligibility and Qualifications for Junior Championship Tournaments representing Northern Nevada Jr. Golf Association
How to Qualify and am I Eligibile?
Qualifying for events or teams:1. Residence Eligibility: The player must live and go to school in the Northern Nevada area or live and go to school within 75 miles of Reno. 2. Players must be a member of NNJGA and play in the Level 3: 15-18 Division (except for USwing Mojing Jr. World Championship). 3. For BJAC, GJAC, and Hogan Cup: Scoring Differential from qualifying rounds will be done using the USGA Score Differential Formula. This process takes into account the player's score along with the rating and slope of the course being played rather than just the score that the player shoots. This gives us a better representation of the ability of the player. For example, if a player shoots 79 at Edgewood-Tahoe and a 79 at Eagle Valley East Course, the score differential from Edgewood-Tahoe would be lower based on the more difficult rating and slope.
Below is the USGA formula to determine the Score Differential.
