All spectators will agree and abide by the rules and regulations established by the tournament committee. A violation of these rules and regulations can be cause for removal from the tournament. These guidelines will be strictly enforced with zero tolerance. Spectators may be removed without warning.

The spectator of any NNJGA tournament assumes all risk and danger incidental to the game of golf and releases the NNJGA, their host sites, and presenting sponsors, participating players, and all agents thereof from any and all liabilities resulting from such cases.

Spectators will not address ANY scorekeeper or player for any reason. If a spectator feels there is a problem that needs addressing they will contact only NNJGA staff members. The NNJGA office will not accept emails, letters, or phone calls about events and situations that happened in the past. If there is a problem or situation you must let a staff member know the day of the event. If you don’t agree with a ruling or situation come in and discuss it with the lead official. Arguing with any staff member on the course is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

The policy may seem complicated at first, but it’s very simple. Let the players enjoy the game. Let the players learn responsibility. You may watch with amazement and excitement as they go through this learning process. This program is for the the player and it is a privilege for you to be out there watching them learn and grow.

We recommend that a spectator stay one shot in front of the group they are watching. This means that while the group is on the tee, the spectator is on the cart path or rough beyond the landing area of the tee shots. Spectators may then assist in spotting golf balls. As the group then hits their approach shots in the green the spectator should be in a safe area around the green.

Conversations between the spectators and players are prohibited. Please keep all conversations with the player to words of cheer and encouragement.

If you would like to pass food or beverages on to the player, we recommend placing it in a position that will be easy for the player to retrieve, thus eliminating any risk of conversational or communicational misunderstanding.

Parents are required to sign a spectator agreement form before being allowed on the course.
